Lagos, April 26 (FxMallam) – The Nigerian Naira on Wednesday remained steady against the US Dollar at the parallel market for the third straight day but fell against the British Pound.

Since the beginning of the trading week, the Naira has remained largely steady against the US Dollar even as reports of steady supply from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), persists.

The naira has traded largely between N383 (buying rate) and around N389 – N390 (selling rate) at the parallel market.

At the close of the trading day on Wednesday, the naira exchanged between N383 (buying rate) and N390 (selling rate) at the parallel market.

Against the Euro, the Nigerian naira remained at N420 where it closed on Tuesday after the French election renewed optimism for the future of the European alliance hence boosting it’s currency.

Meanwhile, against the British pound, the naira on Wednesday afternoon exchanged between N485 (buying rate) and N502 (selling rate) at the parallel market.

The naira had traded between N485 and N497 against the British pound yesterday.
